What is a booklet?
A booklet is a very thin book that has a small number of pages and gives you information about something.
Step 2. Brainstorming
What information can be included in the booklet?
A book let of the Chinese language should give readers information about the Chinese language.

Is Chinese an important language in the world? Why?

Is Chinese different from western languages? How?
 
It uses characters but not alphabet.
Characters stand for ideas, objects or deeds.
Characters for ideas were made by combining two or more characters together.
One part of the character indicates the meaning and the other suggests the pronunciation.
A single character can also make up a word.
 
When and how did Chinese writing come into existence?
 
Chinese writing began thousands of years ago.
An ancient Chinese named Chang Jie invented Chinese writing from the tracks of animals in the snow. 
How did Chinese writing develop?
 
The first Chinese characters were drawings of objects.
Over time the characters developed from drawings into standard forms.
 
What are the two types of Chinese characters?
 
The Chinese language has simplified characters and traditional characters.
